Puss'n'boots is a centuries old fairy tale about a miller's son and his cat. When the miller died, the first son inherited the mill, the second son got the donkey and the third son got the cat.

The boy and the cat hit the road poor and orphaned. The cat said "Outfit me in grand clothes and boots and I'll fix our situation." The cat looked so credible in his new outfit that the neighborhood king believed all the cat said about his master being royalty himself but in straitened circumstances.

The King offers the miller's son money and his daughter's hand in marriage. And the miller's son and the cat lived happily ever after.
