What is a custom made boot?

Custom made here means your design and measurements. It starts with your foot outline drawings and all your measurements so your custom boots fit your feet and legs comfortably..

The first job I do is make a pair of  boot lasts, wood forms,  according to your specs including heel height and toe shape. Next I make a paper pattern of your boot design that fits the lasts and fits your leg.

The construction proceeds with cutting leather of the right color, thickness, softness and surface texture. Then sewing the pieces together, stretching the uppers  over the lasts, attaching the right soles and heels.  And finally coloring sole edges and polishing your new boots.

Now you try on the boots and evaluate the looks and the fit. If I did my work correctly, we're finished. If your boots require adjustments in the fit, I do that at my expense.
